Each bar uses a 1:0.8 ratio of glucose to fructose, built from sucrose, glucose powder and fructose and set with pectin for a soft chew. Glucose and fructose are absorbed through different transporters in the gut, so combining them lets you take in and use more than 60g of carbohydrate per hour with less risk of gut upset.
