Why We Love It
226ERS Tart Cherry Juice is a 60ml concentrated cherry shot for the hours after your hardest work: a race, a big interval session or the second day of a heavy training block. Tear the stick open and drink it straight, or stir it into a glass of water if you prefer it less intense. Each shot also carries 27.5g of carbohydrate, so it starts refilling your energy stores while you're still cooling down. It's an easy habit to build into race week or a demanding training phase.
Talk Nerdy To Me
Each 60ml serve is concentrated tart cherry (Prunus cerasus) juice, equivalent to roughly 270ml of natural juice or about 80 cherries. That concentration delivers 1,505mg of polyphenols and 191mg of anthocyanins per 100ml. These plant compounds are behind tart cherry's reputation for supporting recovery from exercise-induced muscle damage and oxidative stress. A serve provides 27.5g of carbohydrate, including 19.1g of naturally occurring sugars with no added sugar, plus 114 kcal. That makes it a useful contribution to glycogen replenishment when taken within four hours of a high-intensity or long-duration session.
